Our cowboys and cowgirls with horses can safely board them for free in our pole safe horse corrals. Dogs welcome! (If your dog vouches for you, then you are welcome, too!) Each cabin has free wifi, satellite tv, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.
Activities
We are open year-round, and year-round activities abound! Take a stroll along mainstreet from your cabin door and visit authentic western shops and art galleries, the Bighorn Sheep Center, the Dubois Museum, or one of our town's many eating establishments.
Enjoy hiking along the Wind River, tubing the river, or the world class fishing it offers, just out the front door !! If you bring your binoculars, you may get a glimpse of bighorn sheep on Whiskey Mountain from your cabin window, or you can make a 10 minute drive to Whiskey Mountain to see them up close or maybe pronghorn antelope, or elk . Stroll along the edge of waterfalls, take a day hike up to one of the glacier lakes in the Wind River Valley Range, or take a drive out to Double Cabin mountains. Hike where notorious outlaw Butch Cassidy had a hideout, or shop at the still in business old general store where he once shopped!
Enjoy Friday night rodeos with us here in Dubois, or go to one of the weekly square dances downtown. Winter guests can enjoy winter hiking, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, or the best snowmobiling areas in the nation at Togoweetee Pass, just minutes away. The Dubois area is a paradise to fishermen and hunters as well, where just last season the largest world class elk was taken !!!
A short half mile drive to our Scenic Overlook offers a 360 degree view of our beautiful and stunning snow capped mountain ranges, spreading out for 100's of miles !!
Location
The Branding Iron Inn is nestled between two mountain ranges, in the Heart of the Wind River Valley. It is located only 40 minutes from Teton National Park, and a few minutes further drive through the Tetons to the south entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
